A Bit About Me
I have a lot of hobbies. Most of them remain hobbies but a few end up becoming profitable ventures, like my interest in drones. I thought my curiosity about drones would end up being a way to add interesting b-roll to my documentary shorts...another hobby. When my son was little I enjoyed playing with his remote controlled helicopters, cars, flying orbs and helium remote controlled fish. I assumed flying drones would be just as fun. Turns out it is just as fun and I can get paid to do it.

As I was developing this skill, I had already been working in real estate marketing for a number of years, as a marketing associate and graphic designer for both residential and commercial brokerages. During this time I got my FAA part 107 pilot license and learned to do Matterport 3d scans adding to my skillset. I was then hired by a real estate marketing studio and became certified to do ground photos, video, as well as 2d floorpans. The studio encouraged their photographers to do everything so they could send one photographer out for a property shoot and avoid the logistics and planning of sending multiple people. This is why I am adding the visual aspect of real estate marketing to the list of services I can provide.

Shooting for both residential and commercial brokerages gave me the skills needed to shoot aerial photos for architecture as well. I can accommodate the specificity of architects in regards to aerial photos as I work with a professional architectural ground photographer and editor, to meet the particular needs of architects.

I really enjoy working with drones and in real estate marketing. I’m drawn to the visual creativity and storytelling you can explore with aerial photography and seeing the world from that perspective. I am continually deepening my aerial and marketing skills to become more and more proficient in what I currently do while exploring other areas. I am currently taking drone courses in mapping, modeling, fpv, and inspection. The sky is the limit.
